The Day To Be Grateful

Posted on: November 25th, 2010 by

Even though Thanksgiving Day is not a declared holiday worldwide, we still ought to set aside a day to be express our gratitude to everyone who has touched our lives.

So that is why I am taking this special day to thank all of you who have been visiting me here at Schoolkid.Ph.

My initial motive for the site was to store the worksheets that I’ve made and make them easily available to my friends and a few school co-parents (I actually texted 24 people only about it). You can read more of this in the About Us page of Schoolkid.Ph.

Over the past 2 years, I’ve received emails, thanking me for putting up the site, some even giving a short account of what their child has achieved. With the addition of the Schoolkid.Ph Facebook page, more messages of appreciation to the website is received.

With each “thank you” that I get, a gush of happiness just surges through me. My husband calls it a “feel-good moment”. When someone talks to my husband about the website, he’d call and say, ” I have a feel-good moment for you.” So, really, it is I who should thank you, for making me feel good 🙂 It makes me motivated to work on the website more and make it better.

Most of all, I would like to sincerely express my heartfelt thanks to the worksheet contributors of Schoolkid.Ph, namely –

CATS, Lala Ordenes, ECSoriano, ADP, JRChua, BDCV, PVBernabe, EVK, MDJ, AGotil, Tes Tolosa, TSuelto, MVivar, GKatigbak, PMoreno, MMYu, Dinz Dolor, RTLadaban, proud_mom_of_5, HCCasuyon, ACLanuza, Floy V. I personally do not know all of you and your generosity despite this is one of the things that I appreciate. I am always touched to receive an email with a worksheet attachment. May the blessings return to you a thousandfold.

The Schoolkid.Ph motto since the first day was “Let’s all help our children do well in school.” This statement means everything that I mean for Schoolkid.Ph to be. It’s about our intent for our children to take education seriously to achieve their goals. It’s about us getting together, pooling our resources to achieve this intent. No longer should we work on it on our own.

For those of you who are interested in sharing your original worksheets, just email them to community@schoolkid.ph

Thank you, Schoolkid.Ph community!
